Social Media is Not All About You
We all have an acquaintance we follow on social media who fills our news feed with self-centered posts about their life and problems and opinions. How quickly do you click that unfollow button? For us, it's almost immediate. Those sorts of posts make it very easy for us to identify who and what is valuable in our feeds.
Now apply that same scenario to brands. If a brand you follow posts constantly about themselves and their products/services, do you unfollow just as quickly? The truth is if an account you follow on social media isn’t adding any value to your news feed, you tend to get rid of them. So why do brands still think that social content should be all about them?
