Technical Sales Account Manager

Position

The Technical Sales Account Manager will assist the Coatings Sales Lead and work alongside our Account Managers and Business Services Team to gather customer information and assess opportunities for the sale of industrial coatings and equipment sold by the Alias Group.

Primary trainers for this position offer years of experience in the coatings industry and will educate the account manager on the coatings product line, application process, equipment used in the process and customer base.

Hours

Monday through Friday 8:30am to 4:00pm

Responsibilities

  • The Technical Sales Account Manager will develop relationships with targets, identify market trends, drive sales and define market opportunity

  • The Account Manager will be required to understand all aspects of the coating equipment and provide onsite demos when required

  • The Account Manager is also responsible for facilitating technical service issues in person or via phone

  • The Account Manager will be required to enter all leads and opportunities into a Customer Relationship Management System (CRM)(Salesforce), and document all progress and activities associated with the opportunities. Prior background with a CRM is not required but is a plus

  • The Technical Account Manager will be required to understand all offerings under the Alias Group umbrella and identify sales opportunities

  • The ability to present in front of a live audience is required

  • Travel within the US to customers once every two months to meetings or trade shows is required

MINIMUM requirements

  • Experience in the coatings industry is not required but preferred

  • Some college required. College degree preferred

  • 1-2 years consultative sales or account management experience required

  • Manufacturing work or coatings industry experience is preferred

REQUIRED TRAVEL

Approximately 15%. A valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle and insurance are required.
